A Renaissance of Consciousness on the Wasatch Front
Recently at the Restore conference, I teased a theme and vision that’s been in my heart since coming back to Utah: A Renaissance of Consciousness on the Wasatch Front. Let that land in your body for a moment.
I believe the Renaissance goes far beyond our geography, and yet there is something personal, specific and intimate about how we, here, are being asked to care for the land in a new way, and to care for each other.
At our upcoming gathering at Bell Hall, I want to share some of the contours of what I see starting to take shape, and how we all as a community can give more body, heart and mind to the movement.
It won’t all be easy.
To give birth to anything real, pain is unavoidable. To meet the parts of ourselves we’ve pushed away, to wake up to the ecology that has always been our lifeblood, and to come into full awareness of the absolute dignity of all beings — this is an intense process. But our eyes will adjust to the light. And our hearts have always been bigger than we can imagine.
I hope you’ll join us for a night of song, meditation, and authentic encounter at Bell Hall, October 14th. This Renaissance won’t arrive on its own. It depends on attuned hearts willing to live into a new vision together.

If you arrive after the meeting has started, please enter through the door on the north side of the building.
