LL Monthly Gathering - July 2026

  • 389 E 1st Avenue Salt Lake City, UT 84103 (map)

We all come to contemplative practice carrying wounds. And most of these wounds are inflicted in relationship—by the people closest to us, the communities that shaped us, the betrayals we didn't see coming.

The good news is this: Because our most significant wounds are often inflicted in relationship, our deepest healing also tends to unfold through relationship.

This month at Bell Hall, we're exploring what becomes possible when a community becomes more than a gathering—when it becomes an 𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘤. In the Hermetic tradition, the alembic is the alchemical vessel where lead is transmuted into gold, where suffering is forged into something timeless. A well-held community can do exactly that: offer real safety in the collective, emotional regulation, honest witness, and the conditions for genuine transformation.

But this only works when the container is strong enough to hold what's real. That means the masculine capacity to stay present and boundaried, and the feminine capacity to grieve, to speak truth, to let what is broken actually be broken before it's healed. Resilience isn't transcendence—it's the capacity to stay in relationship with difficulty without being destroyed by it.

We'll explore these themes through teaching, meditation, and 𝘴𝘰𝘩𝘣𝘦𝘵—a Sufi style of honest, fully embodied conversation that is itself a source of healing.

Come share your joy and sorrow alike.
